Who is Jeff Wong?
I’m passionate about bringing big ideas to life, balancing vision with execution, and motivating teams to deliver under pressure.

Over the past year, I’ve built and managed the Chaco Vivo REDD+ Project annual budget across seven departments, found ways to save 15% by reallocating resources more effectively, and led MoM financial analysis that shaped our project’s short-term priorities and long-term planning.

I’ve worked with a 46-person team to ensure compliance with REDD+ and VCS-CCB standards for the 187,916-hectare carbon credit initiative in Paraguay. By introducing a risk management framework and Agile methodologies, we boosted project efficiency by 20%—all while staying ahead of potential risks and challenges.

Before diving into the world of carbon projects, I worked as a strategy consultant, helping Fortune 500 companies and NGOs tackle complex problems and hit their growth targets. Juggling multiple clients, I sharpened my ability to manage cross-functional teams, solve tough business challenges, and collaborate across different industries.
But my journey didn’t start in the boardroom.
It all began when I co-led a six-month, 1,300-km river expedition in Paraguay as part of Rostros del Río (Faces of the River). Along the way, we published Climate Adaptation research for World Wildlilfe Fund, documented local climate activists, fundraised $100,000, and produced a documentary that’s currently being screened in Paraguay.
It’s one of my proudest projects.

At the core of everything I do is a commitment to human connection. Whether it’s sitting down with Indigenous families or discussing strategy with executives, I believe in building strong relationships to bridge gaps and align business goals with real human needs. It’s that mix of on-the-ground experience and strategic insight that fuels me every day.
